​Emmanuelle was born in a suburb of Paris, in France. She was familiar with the streets of Paris during her early childhood.

Later she lived in Provence, the countryside of the south of France, where she strolled through the “garrigue” in her teenage years.

 

Her academic background, studies in graphic design, printing and architecture in Marseille, led her to become a young autodidact artist.

At the age of 20 she came alone to Israel for a winter holiday, which became a long journey - her adult life.

Here in Jerusalem, she worked in print shops and in kindergarten, as an art instructor.

 

It was the studying of painting in Jerusalem that inspired her to develop her art.
